Thornley Fallis Wins Two IABC Silver Leaf Awards of Excellence
Thornley Fallis Communications took home two Silver Leaf Awards of Excellence as the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Canada recently announced the 2016 winners for excellence in business communication.
Campaigns executed on behalf of Metrolinx and Commissionaires were selected for the awards from more than 140 total entries to the annual competition.
Thornley Fallis’ work on Metrolinx Engage, the public engagement platform and campaign created for Metrolinx, received the Award of Excellence for Digital Communication channels. As part of its mandate to improve the coordination and integration of all modes of transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, Metrolinx asked Thornley Fallis to develop a campaign to involve the community in the decision-making process. Metrolinx Engage invites residents of the GTHA to voice their opinions about major transportation project plans, and helped to drive public awareness, support and trust.
The Award of Excellence in Media Relations was won on behalf of Commissionaires, a private, not-for-profit Canadian security company rooted in providing employment for veterans and former police officers. Thornley Fallis’ 2015 Commissionaires Remembrance Day campaign was highly successful in the media due to its theme: “Thank a veteran by hiring one”. This national media relations program featured veteran CEO’s as spokespeople, and promoted the value of recognizing the service and skill of Canada’s veterans.
We’re thrilled to be recognized once again for our hard work during the year, and are fortunate to work with a diverse variety of great clients with interesting stories to tell.
